Details

The founders of this project observed that women in Burma lack knowledge of their rights and often become victims of violence. The project plans to create a video spot to raise awareness about all forms of violence against women. In orded to do this on the appropriate professional level, the project will collaborate with film actors, actresses and film directors who have previously suppored the work of the organization. The spot will be offered to national TV channels for broadcasting coutrywide.

The project believes that this kind of awareness raising will activate men and women at the grassroots level to prevent violence. The creation of the video spot will go hand in hand with development of other activities of the Sisterhood such as legal aid to women and children and the planning for a safe house for women.
