The NLD HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care Centre (NHAPCC) provides medical and social services to patients affected by HIV/AIDS. Many patients leave their homes to come to the NHAPCC clinic when their medical situation worsens because no medical services are available in their home villages. When they return home after treatment, they often not only face stigma connected to their medical condition but also find that their previous sources of income are gone.

NHAPCC has decided to provide training in animal farming, donate pigs and provide regular follow up for selected patients. These people will have the opportunity to restart their livelihood through pig farming. By offering meat to the local community at affordable prices, they will also have an opportunity to interact and reintegrate. Certain percentage of piglets produced by these farms will be donated to other patients within the program and thus support the sustainability of this initiative.

Your share will support the purchase of pigs, training expenses and travel of volunteers to support the program participants.
